Mabel's Rescue
UPDATE 07.10.18
This beautiful lady has safely made it through the night on her deep litter bed to reduce the pressure on her feet. She was visited by our local vet this morning and received IV pain relief whilst awaiting an x-ray of her feet tomorrow to see exactly what can be done.
UPDATE 08.10.18
This beautiful little lady was visited by the vet again today with a specialist portable x-ray machine. Please keep your fingers crossed the results are positive and we can do something to help her!
UPDATE 10.10.18
Yesterday the little pony had the results of her x-rays and it was found the damage is not as severe as was feared. Our Farrier was able to trim the feet to make her much more comfortable.
Unfortunately our Dentist wasn't so successful and ran into complications that prevented the dental work to be completed. It has been reccomended that she is seen by a specialist equine dental vet to best see how to proceed.
Today the vet has been consulted on the discovery of a calcium deficiency. The vets are planning to run blood tests.
