Adopt a Cat with Sydney

Updated: Apr 7, 2023

If you are looking to adopt a cat at Crosskennan Lane Animal Sanctuary, then why not check out this gorgeous boy whom we have names Sydney! Keep reading to learn more about his history, personality & the type of home which we are looking for him!

Adopt a Cat at Crosskennan Lane Animal Sanctuary (Antrim)

Background

Sydney is around 1 year old. She urgently need a home she can call her own.

Sidney was only around 6 weeks when she was rescued as an orphan kitten, alongside her siblings.

Health

Sydney has been vaccinated, microchipped, spayed/neutered and had flea and worm treatments. She is littered trained.

Personality/behaviour

Sydney has come a long way from the scared, hissy little kitten who first arrived.

She now enjoys attention, games and toys and does not mind if you want to join in. She loves to play and "help" brush the floor, sort through rubbish etc. Even if you want her to or not !

Sydney has recently lost her best friend at the sanctuary who you can tell she misses very much. She would really benefit from a loving home who could give her the time, love and attention to get over her loss.

Type of home required

Sydney wouldprefer a quieter home, perhaps with someone willing to play but who will not mind if she opt not to sit on your lap.

An adult only home is preferable and as we have no experience of her withdogs we would be looking at a dog free home, with their own space if needed.

Sydney is an indoor cat.

She may never be lap cat but when you earn her trustyou will be a very special person with a very special cat.

If you are looking to adopt a cat and can offer Sydney a home please fill in a paper or online application form below (click below).

If Sydney are not suitable for your home perhaps one of our other cats looking for homes would be - do check them out on our website.

If you cannot adopt, you can still make a difference by making a donation now.

Remember you can also further support us by following our news and what we do on our Social Media channels: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok & LinkedIn.

Unfortunately due to the large number of applications we can receive per cat we do have to state that we may not be able to contact every unsuccessful home.

Adoptive homes will only be considered in NORTHERN IRELAND. We are sorry we cannot accommodate further afield but this ensures we can carry out effective home checks and you have a chance to meet the cats before adoption.

We have a rehoming fee of £70 for cats. All our cats are neutered and if not neutered at the time of rehoming will be required to be neutered as soon as permitted by a vet. All adoptions will only take place following meeting the cat at the sanctuary and a home check.

Have you checked out our most recent blog on why it is better to adopt a dog rather than get one from a puppy. Click here to read.
