šŸ“ šŸŒŸ Animals Helping People Programme: Why Support and Why Now?šŸŒŸ šŸ“

What is the Animals Helping People (AHP) Programme?

The AHP Programme at Crosskennan Lane Animal Sanctuary is a heartwarming initiative founded on the belief that the bond between humans and animals can foster healing, growth, and connection. Through therapeutic and educational interactions, we create transformative experiences for individuals from all walks of life, supported by our rescue animals.

What We Offer:

Equine-Assisted Learning (EAL): Participants build confidence and teamwork skills through hands-on horse care.

Therapeutic Interactions: From cuddling cats to working with therapy dogs, we create calming and supportive experiences.

Pony Pals Programme: Teaching responsibility and empathy to children through pony care and activities.

Community Engagement Projects: Initiatives like BRIDGES foster inclusion, skill-building, and well-being.

Workshops and Training: Educational courses for practical skills in animal care and management.

Why Support the AHP Programme?

Lives Transformed: In the past year, weā€™ve supported 757 individuals, including children with Autism, individuals with PTSD, dementia patients, and care home residents.

Inclusive Access: Over 500 participants received free services, ensuring financial challenges never prevent someone from benefiting.

Skill Development: Participants gain confidence, empathy, and practical abilities.

Support for Rescue Animals: Our animals thrive on the care and interaction, enriching their lives too.
