Cats in Need!

At present Crosskennan is caring for 54 cats and kittens with some kittens off to new homes as recently as this week. But we have more on the waiting list to come in and we cannot afford to take them on. While all adoptions bring in a donation to help cover the costs sustained during the care of the cat - it doesn’t help those cats who are still waiting for homes or those who are not fit or able to find homes.

Of our 30 permanent residents cats, 17 are under vet care regularly at present. It’s part of the reason they remained with us. Some of them need specialist food or daily medicine while some are still being assessed.

We have cats everywhere at the sanctuary - and then we have foster homes with cats of varying needs and personalities.

It often takes all our time caring that taking photos and videos just seems like too much work; so we don’t get to share as much as we probably should.

Our team is working around the clock - both on site and off.

Little things like food parcels, donations of litter (which we send a massive thanks to @playforstrays too for their 100kg donation of cat litter this week!), donations towards the vet bills that are ongoing, donations towards the special foods or even treats. You can donate towels and blankets, you can donate tuna and fresh chicken. You can donate so much, no matter how small and help us keep these little ones safe and healthy and hopefully get them on their way to new loving homes.

If we can get more cats rehomed and keep our costs manageable then we can help others.

We know it’s not always easy to donate money - we know all about money! But a care package in the post is one of the best things we can receive! We love them; especially when we least expect them and they include things we wouldn’t always buy for the cat’s ourselves.

So if you can help - it’s simple - please help.

Commenting, sharing and liking helps too on social media. This weekend we are dedicating our social media to the cats!
